Boom and News On The Block set to target the rich
publication date: May 24, 2002
Two lifestyle magazines aimed at affluent consumers launched this week.
Boom is an 'unashamedly exclusive' quarterly glossy with a targetline - 'Times are good' - and that reflects what publisher Morgan Fray Media sees as a rise in the number of entrepreneurial, new money millionaires in the UK.
Editorial is a mixture of lifestyle, including motoring, property and luxury good, plus business, focusing on personal investment. US, Middle East and Asian editions are planned for later in 2002. Editor is Glyn Wilmshurst.
Another title, aimed at residents of luxury apartments, is the bi-monthly News on the Block, published by a company of the same name. It will focus on property-related financial, legal and interior design matters.
The magazine was spawned from guidebooks and websites that News on the Block has been publishing since 2000. MD is Nicolas Shulman
