Nigel Henry: Head Concierge, Castlemaine House, St James's Place

Born on the Island of St. Helena in the south Atlantic, Nigel Henry started his career as an Administrative Officer for the BBC and then gave 14 years’ service in the British Merchant Navy as a Purser. “The Job called for leadership skills,” he says, “and being able to communicate effectively with people from all walks of life, from the chambermaid to royalty. I found this role challenging and enjoyable and was sorry to leave, but knew further opportunities awaited me.
