Benjamin Stevens Block Management have just announced that they have acquired two further management companies to add to their fast-growing portfolio.
The independent Block Management company, which falls under the award-winning Benjamin Stevens Estate Agents brand, will be taking over ‘My Estate Manager’ and ‘Herts Property Management Ltd’.
Both are small independently run firms, like Benjamin Stevens, and are based in Hatfield, with blocks across Hatfield, Harpenden, St Albans and Welwyn Garden City.
This means Benjamin Stevens Block Management will be adding a total of 844 units acquired across both companies, made up of a mixture of flats and houses across 29 developments.
Growing the Block Management side of the business has been something Steve Wayne, Founder and Managing Director of Benjamin Stevens Estate Agents, has been nurturing for a while.
He first acquired Frederick George Property Management Services back at the beginning of 2017, and it was rebranded as Benjamin Stevens Block Management in 2021.
Steve spent time building and improving the business and getting it to a place where he thought it should be. “I want to be known for providing the best possible customer services in the most efficient way.”
Both ‘My Estate Manager’ and ‘Herts Property Management Ltd’ wanted to stay loyal to their clients within their current portfolios and therefore wanted to only work with a local independent company that can offer an added level of service and expertise.
Ben Jarvis MIRPM, Head of Block Management Services at Benjamin Stevens said, “It was a perfect acquisition for us as we were already starting to take on new managements across Greater London, Beds and Herts. The companies themselves were run by a married couple whose ethos and approach to high end customer service and value for money matches our own.”
The owners of the companies will stay involved for a phased period of 9 months, to ensure all onsite,financial and compliance handovers are fully completed.
For Benjamin Stevens, these purchases have seen them grow by roughly 25% and allows them to further target current developments and new builds across the Three Counties area.
This follows Benjamin Stevens Block Management’s earlier acquisition in 2022, of 9 developments taken over from an Essex based firm. This added a further 162 units to the portfolio, and allows the company to grow the brand into areas of East London and Essex, both in terms of Block Management and Estate Agency opportunities.
Their hope for the future is to further grow brand recognition and expand their current team out from the company’s Head Office in Edgware and into other office spaces, which will further assist new customers in continuing to keep local knowledge and approach to their service.
