Principle to look after mansion-style development on main road into Birmingham

Norfolk Court

A luxury, mansion-style development fronting one of the main arterial roads into Birmingham is to be managed by Principle Estate Management.

The contract to look after Norfolk Court, a high quality, five-storey block of 10 apartments prominently fronting the Hagley Road in Edgbaston, has come from the residents’ management company.

Norfolk Court Freehold Company had decided to change agents and was recommended to Principle by contractors working on the 1930s apartment scheme.

Joe Jobson, a director at Principle, inspected the property during lockdown and after meeting with resident directors the contract was quickly confirmed.

Once appointed, Principle’s integration team liaised with the client and former agent to ensure all handover information was quickly received and inputted into the Qube system.

A spokesperson for the Norfolk Court Residents’ Management Company said: “I was impressed with how quickly Principle responded to our enquiry, attended a ‘socially distanced’ site meeting and then provided a full management proposal.

“It was just the kind of prompt and detailed service that we want. Following a meeting to which all residents were invited we had no hesitation in appointing Principle.

“They understand that we require a forward-thinking agent who can get on with the job while adding value to where we live.”

Mr Jobson of Principle said: “This is a stand-out development that we’re thrilled to have been appointed to manage, and I have every faith in our detailed integration service that will ensure we have all the resources in place to hit the ground running.

“There are a few items that need to be picked up now the property is in management and we are looking forward to working with the directors and residents to push forward on these and future items.”

Principle was launched in 2018 by Brett Williams, a past-chairman of the Association of Residential Managing Agents who has nearly 30 years of experience in the sector.

The Birmingham-based company has grown from what was virtually a one-man band two-and-a-half years ago into what is now 26 staff looking after a portfolio approaching 6,500 units in around 250 developments across the UK.
