QUESTION
Dear Sir
We currently clean several blocks, on a sub contract basis, so have experience and testimonials from our work for the last few years.
Our portfolio ranges from residential to heavy used student areas where the blocks are like halls of residence but treated worse.
We also provide pre and end tenancy cleaning for leading high street letting agents.
I would like to hear what management companies look for and see as the best approach for new business contracts?
Our website is being up dated, I am looking into brochures, but feel our quality, reliability and standards beat all the glossy fronted businesses we are taking business from.

ANSWER
As managing agents it is our job to ensure that the properties that we manage whether it is a small block of flats or large development a high level of service and standards even down to the minor detail is upheld.
With all blocks and its clients the contractors employed must treat each property as their own.
It is this service that will enable the managing agent to be comfortable with referring their service to other clients.
It is always a good idea to have some marketing material that they can provide, go and meet your target market in my experience - this is key to a good working relationship. If you have a website ensure that it is kept up to date and perhaps providing examples of your work and testimonials that is accessible to everyone.
