The Association for Rental Living, the membership body for all institutionally backed, professionally managed purpose-built rental living sectors, has released the agendas for the Rental Living Annual Conference 2025

The event will deliver two concurrent conferences in one day: the Strategic Rental Living Conference and the NextGen Pathways Conference for early and mid-career rental living professionals.

Taking place on 6th November 2025 at London’s One Canada Square and now in its 10th year, the Strategic Rental Living Conference will consider how to reignite Build to Rent (BTR) delivery after a decade of defining rental living. The keynotes, panels, workshops, round tables and other elements will be grouped into four key themes, covering the future of rental living, technology, risks and future leadership.

In-depth sessions within those themes will explore: operational data benchmarking, costs and insurance strategies; capitalising on changing demographics for the future BTR market; the Building Safety Act; EDI evolution and value; the Rental Living Code and Charter; market opportunities resulting from the Renters’ Rights Bill; and the impact of technology on BTR. Additional sessions will look at rental living in Scotland, space maximisation and placemaking.

The popular design charette will also return, bringing together the expertise of diverse living sector stakeholders. With 50+ sector-leading speakers and 400+ delegates expected to attend the conference, the group exercise will be an exciting opportunity to explore a solution-focused approach to living sector challenges.

Known for its sector-leading insights and essential knowledge, and always at the forefront of emerging trends and innovations, the Rental Living Annual Conference is the must-attend event of the year for key decision-makers, practitioners and influencers in the rental living sector. The 2025 event will also include the ARL People Awards, honouring those making significant and exciting contributions to the sector.

Newly launched this year, the NextGen Pathways Conference will run concurrently to the main Strategic Rental Living Conference. Designed for teams at an early point in their rental living careers, the NextGen Pathways Conference will provide unique insights and valuable networking opportunities. It will deliver an introduction to the BTR landscape, putting the wider sector into context, and include an industry leader Q&A. The event will include sessions on mobilisation, supply chain management, value-add property management, competence and resident retention. There will also be a team exercise on operational problem solving and a dedicated career progression session.

The NextGen Pathways Conference will be led by sector leader Grace Morgan, while the main Strategic Rental Living Conference will feature speakers including Chair of the BTR Alliance Clive Betts MP, Phil Mayall, Managing Director of Muse Places, Nero Ughwujab, Strategy Adviser – EDI at the King’s Trust, Birchgrove Chief Executive Honor Barratt and Grace Oyesoro, Head of Operations at Quintain Living as compere.

Brendan Geraghty, CEO, the Association for Rental Living, comments: “We are delighted to share details of such a packed and important agenda for the 2025 Rental Living Annual Conference. The mix of sessions will deliver enormous value, ensuring the sector moves forward in alignment as we look toward the next ten years of rental living.”

Association for Rental Living members and non-members are all welcome at the event, with discounts available for group bookings.
