Over 50 potential tenants are chasing every two bedroom property that comes on the market, according to Solihull’s leading independent estate agent.
Gabrielle Argue, head of lettings at DM & Co. Homes, said: “Demand is seriously outstripping supply in Solihull, south Birmingham and the north Warwickshire area.
“We are seeing huge demand for two bedroom houses and apartments under £1,100 per calendar month. DM & Co. Homes regularly has over 50 potential tenants registering for one particular property as soon as it is listed.”
She added that what made it particularly frustrating is that there are a number of two bedroom properties, notably in the new developments in the area which are perfect for private investors who are cash buyers, and which could be let almost immediately.
“For those looking to build their rental portfolio, in the Solihull, south Birmingham and north Warwickshire area, you are pushing on an open door – literally,” she said.
The latest rental properties to come on to DM & Co. Homes’ books include a two bedroom apartment in Royal House at 2-6 Homer Road in Solihull, a stunning furnished apartment available from mid-February at £1,500 per calendar month.
For those looking for an unfurnished property, a two bedroom, semi-detached house in Barn Lane, Solihull, is available at £1,000 per calendar month.
Gabrielle said: “Both these properties are exactly what our clients are looking for, but we need more of them every day.
“We have potential tenants watching our website for new properties to be listed and when we post a new property, the phone calls and emails start immediately.”
Her message is clear.
“To landlords, please get in touch as soon as possible. We have the tenants for your property now.
“To tenants, please register with us, so we can identify your specific requirements and look out for the best possible match, ensuring you are contacted to view when a suitable property is released to the market.”
