On Sunday 9th October, a team from Albanwise Insurance Services and their sister companies, Simarc and Albanwise Synergy, completed the 12 Bridges Challenge, crossing 12 bridges on the Thames from Albert Bridge in the West to Tower Bridge in the East. A crisp, sunny day saw eight people and a four legged friend take on the 10 mile course.
A magnificent total of £3,136 plus Gift Aid has been raised so far for Scotty’s Little Soldiers, the Kings Lynn based charity supporting the bereaved children of Armed Forces families. CEO Simon Millar has been a Trustee of Scotty’s Little Soldiers for a number of years, and it is the Albanwise Insurance Services Charity of the Year.
Millar said ‘On behalf of the charity, I am extremely grateful for the generosity of everyone who has contributed to the fundraising, including colleagues, insurers, clients and friends from across the property management world. I have seen first-hand the extraordinary work that Scotty’s does with the children of the fallen, and having sore knees the next morning was a very small sacrifice to make to honour those who have made the ultimate sacrifice’.
