The Association for Rental Living, the membership body for all institutionally backed, professionally managed purpose-built rental living sectors, has announced the appointment of new leadership for its North West Steering Group.

The appointments follow another successful two years of operation for the Hub, one of the first Association for Rental Living regional steering groups, under the leadership of Dougie Orton-Wade as Chair and Peter Grimshaw as Vice Chair.

Chloe Sachikonye, Senior Account Executive at Yardi, will serve as the new Chair of the Northwest Hub. With over a decade of industry experience, Chloe brings deep expertise across residential operations, account and project management, systems and data analysis, and strategic client relationships, with a particular focus on the North West region. A long-standing and active supporter of both the ARL and the North West Hub, Chloe is deeply passionate about rental living across Build to Rent, Single Family Housing, co-living, and student accommodation, and is excited to take on her new role as Chair.

Supporting Sachikonye will be Bex Hetherington, Head of Operations at Native Communities, who takes on the role of Vice Chair. Passionate about raising standards in the industry, her role as North West Hub Vice Chair will allow Bex to work collaboratively with fellow industry leaders to deliver best practice in all areas of residential management and operations.

The new appointments follow an active start to 2026 by the North West Hub with its well-attended Seminar and Social earlier this week which explored Greater Manchester’s development ambitions and the rollout of the Manchester Good Landlord Charter and builds upon the Hub’s ongoing profile-raising work of the rental living sector with local councils, the highly successful study tours, roundtables and regular networking events.

Outgoing Chair Dougie Orton-Wade (Moda) will remain involved with the Hub, along with outgoing Vice Chair, Peter Grimshaw, to continue that sector support.

Brendan Geraghty, CEO, the Association for Rental Living, comments: “We are extremely grateful to both Dougie and Peter for their leadership of the North West Hub since its formation. The Hub was created as part of the Association’s regionally responsive growth, with its work delivering an important voice for the rental living sector in the North West. As the Hub enters its next chapter, we are delighted to welcome Chloe and Bex to lead its ongoing work, promoting collaboration and addressing the unique challenges and opportunities facing the sector in the region.”

Chloe Sachikonye, comments: “The Northwest is one of the most dynamic regions in the living sector, and I’m delighted to take on the role of Chair, working alongside our committee and wider community to encourage collaboration, share knowledge, and drive meaningful conversations across rental living.”
