Nirvana Maintenance has appointed Darren Winter as Senior Business Development Manager as the business continues to strengthen its commercial presence across the property management, Build to Rent and wider facilities management sectors.
Darren brings extensive experience in relationship-led business development, with a strong network developed across property management, facilities management, hospitality, retail, education and the wider commercial property sector.
His role will focus on developing new client relationships, expanding existing partnerships and identifying wider opportunities across Nirvana Maintenance, Aquilo Facilities and Urban.
Together, the businesses provide integrated facilities maintenance, engineering and compliance solutions, bringing complementary maintenance, M&E, HVAC, gas, electrical, fire, building fabric and wider property-services capability together through one joined-up approach.
Darren said:
“I’m really excited to have joined Nirvana. What attracted me to the business was not only the breadth of capability across the Group, but the relationship-led approach and the ambition for future growth.
“A large part of my career has been built around developing long-term relationships rather than simply selling individual services. For me, business development is about understanding a client’s portfolio, the challenges they are facing and then bringing the right people and capability into that relationship.
“There is a real opportunity to continue increasing Nirvana’s visibility within the property management and wider FM marketplace. We already have strong experience and credibility within the sector, and I’m looking forward to building on that through existing relationships, new partnerships, industry events and the wider network I’ve developed over the years.
“I’m also particularly excited about the opportunity to work across Nirvana Maintenance, Aquilo Facilities and Urban. Being able to bring complementary maintenance, engineering and compliance capabilities together gives us a very strong proposition for property and facilities teams.”
Nirvana has established a strong presence within the residential and Build to Rent markets and won two Love to Rent Awards in 2025, receiving supplier and partnership recognition for its work within the BTR sector.
Darren will work closely with Group Head of Business Development Louise Matthews, CEO Darren Waitson and the wider Account Management and operational teams as Nirvana continues to develop its commercial strategy and grow its client relationships.
Darren added:
“One of the things I’m passionate about is staying involved beyond the initial introduction. Winning an opportunity is only the beginning. The real value comes from delivering well, developing the relationship and continually looking at how we can support the client better.
“I’ve joined at a really exciting time for the business and I’m looking forward to getting out into the market, reconnecting with people I’ve worked with previously and building plenty of new relationships along the way.”
Darren Waitson, CEO of Nirvana Group, said:
“We have ambitious plans for Nirvana Group, but our growth must continue to be built on strong relationships, consistent delivery and a genuine understanding of what our clients need.
“Darren shares that approach. He brings extensive experience, a strong network and real knowledge of the property and facilities management sectors. Most importantly, he understands that sustainable growth comes from earning trust and delivering on what we promise.
“I’m delighted to welcome him to the team and look forward to working together as we build the next chapter of Nirvana Group.”
