ELM Group Appoints New Board Chair and Deputy Chair

Paul Milner takes on the role of Board Chair following 2 years on the ELM Group Board, and an extensive career spanning more than 35 years as a chartered surveyor across the construction, infrastructure, facilities management and housing sectors. He spent the majority of his career at Balfour Beatty, where he held the position of Commercial Director overseeing both UK and international businesses. 

Paul also served for eight years as Managing Director of the UK’s largest on-campus student housing business, with 40,000 units under management, bringing valuable insight into large-scale residential operations and strategic growth. 

Reflecting on his appointment, Paul said:

“I’m delighted to step into the role of Chair at ELM Group during such an important phase for the organisation. I’m looking forward to continuing to support the executive team and Board as we build on the strong foundations already in place, maintaining our focus on excellent service for residents and colleagues alike.” 

John Osborn has been on the ELM Group Board for 2 years and was recently appointed as Deputy Chair. John’s extensive experience in property and real estate fund management has been a real asset to the Board, and in addition to his commercial real estate background, John holds Non‑Executive Board Member roles with Thrive Homes and The Barnet Group providing further sector-relevant insight that supports ELM Group’s social purpose and long-term ambitions. 

John commented:
