L&Q is inviting prospective buyers and Manchester locals to experience life at L&Q at Victoria Riverside this August with two free community events designed to showcase the lifestyle on offer at the city's newest neighbourhood. From a guided morning run to a creative wellness workshop, the events highlight the vibrant community that is already taking shape in Red Bank.
Taking place on Friday 7th August, L&Q has partnered with Manchester Run Club to host an early morning social run, meeting at L&Q at Victoria Riverside at 6.45am. Open to runners of all abilities, participants will run through the local area before returning to L&Q at Victoria Riverside for complimentary refreshments and the opportunity to take a look around the development.
The following day, L&Q is teaming up with local independent business Studio Dawn to host a creative workshop celebrating mindfulness and self-care. Hosted from Studio Dawn's space at Victoria Riverside, the session will give attendees the opportunity to create their own handcrafted homewares and learn new skills. Founded on the belief that creativity can support wellbeing, Studio Dawn has become known for its beginner-friendly workshops and focus on community, creativity and self-care.
Claire Brenlund, Sales and Marketing Director at L&Q, comments: "A home is about so much more than the apartment itself. We want people to experience the lifestyle that comes with living at L&Q at Victoria Riverside and the fantastic independent businesses and community groups already calling Red Bank home."
L&Q at Victoria Riverside forms part of Victoria North, the North of England's largest urban regeneration project, and sits at the heart of Red Bank – the flagship first neighbourhood to be delivered as part of the wider £4 billion masterplan. Led by Far East Consortium (FEC) and Manchester City Council, Victoria North will deliver more than 15,000 homes across seven new neighbourhoods over the next 15 years, alongside new green spaces, workplaces and community infrastructure. As Red Bank continues to evolve, it will become home to around 8,000 residents, creating a vibrant mixed-use neighbourhood connected by landscaped public spaces, walking routes and a growing mix of independent businesses, community spaces and amenities.
Ready to move into now, L&Q at Victoria Riverside offers 128 Shared Ownership homes within an impressive 18-storey building, complete with resident-only amenities including a co-working lounge, concierge service, gym and landscaped podium garden.
Shared Ownership is a government-backed scheme aiming to provide an alternative route to homeownership across the UK, helping house hunters find a home that meets their affordability needs. Available to any eligible buyer who does not own a home, not just for first-time buyers, buyers can purchase a share of their new home, starting from 25%, paying a mortgage on the part they own and monthly rent on the portion of the home they don’t. As and when shared owners can afford to do so, they can purchase more shares through a process called ‘staircasing’, with the possibility of eventually owning 100% of their home.
Residents will benefit from strong public transport links nearby via the Shudehill Interchange a short walk away, allowing residents to travel across the city with ease. For those travelling across the country, Manchester Victoria Station is just a ten-minute walk away, with frequent trains to Manchester Airport, Chester and Liverpool, to name a few.
Being positioned at the doorstep of the city centre means easy access to all the amenities Manchester has to offer, including Arndale Shopping Centre, with over 200 stores spread over two levels - the biggest inner-city shopping centre in the country. As well as chain stores, there is an array of independent stores nearby, such as the Arndale Food Market to plenty of food, clothes, books and lifestyle shops. Residents will also enjoy Red Bank's emerging status as a hub for retail, dining and beverages, featuring a wide array of popular restaurants, bars and local micro-producers including Michelin Guide-listed The Spärrows restaurant.
Prices for a 25% share of a one-bedroom home start from £61,875 (FMV: £247,500), with deposits from £3,100. For more information, click here.
