The property management contract for the iconic, modern Embassy Court on Brighton seafront has been awarded to Harper Stone, the Brighton-based company founded by Chris Brotherton in 2013.

Brotherton said: “After a year of discussions, meetings and presentations with Bluestorm, who own the building, and adding the key personnel required to deliver the effective management of Embassy Court, we have received the news we were hoping for - the instruction to take over the freehold management contract.”

Embassy Court has undergone a major transformation in the past ten years, from a dilapidated, neglected property to a restored example of modernist architecture.

Harper Stone, with its team of eight, manages in excess of 150 freehold buildings with over 1,000 units for a range of clients including developers, freehold investment companies and resident management firms. Its portfolio includes heritage and modern properties, across the south of England, from Kent to Devon and including blocks from two to 72 units in size.

The firm has an in-house chartered RICS-accredited building surveying department offering a range of services.

Brotherton added: “We are absolutely determined to put Harper Stone well and truly on the map, and there is no better way of achieving this than winning a flagship instruction like this.”
