Heat network decision makers to gather at inaugural biennial symposium

Around 80 senior leaders from across the heat network sector have signed up to attend a high-level forum to discuss the state of the industry as it enters a new regulatory era. Hosted by heat network services specialist Insite Energy, the first Insite Partners Summit will take place in Kings Cross, London, on 17th September 2026.
At the event, which is to be held every two years, experts from industry associations, consumer bodies, technology specialists and service partners will lead and participate in discussions with housing providers, local authorities and property management organisations. Contributors include Citizens Advice, Heat Trust and the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ).
Topics explored will include the practical impacts of recent and upcoming statutory changes, including Ofgem Consumer Protection Regulations and the Heat Network Technical Assurance Scheme (HNTAS), the role of data in demonstrating compliance, cost management and funding strategies, resident engagement and the pros and cons of different technical approaches.
“The aim of the Insite Partners Summit is really to give key heat network decision-makers a space to run ideas past each other, get a fresh perspective on changes that affect them and be inspired,” explained Anthony Coates-Smith, Managing Director of Insite Energy. “There are a lot of heat network events throughout the year, but they don’t always have the people you most need to hear from or engage with in the room. We believe that by creating the right forum for these vital conversations, we can benefit the entire sector.”
Awards will also be presented to some of the people, projects and partnerships making a real difference across the industry.
