Livingcity Asset Management is pleased to announce the appointment of Kate Magill as Director of Property Management, a strategic hire that further strengthens the Group’s senior leadership and reinforces its commitment to best-in-class property management.

Kate brings 18 years of extensive experience across residential property management, having held senior roles within both national and regional managing agents. Her career began with a leading national firm, where she spent 14 years progressing from Assistant Property Manager to Associate Director. During this time, she played a key role in the mobilisation of high-end residential developments, including secondments to London to support complex, large-scale schemes.

Kate’s experience includes establishing Management Companies, leading operational set ups, and building and training on-site teams, skills that align directly with Livingcity’s focus on operational excellence, and service quality across its portfolio.

More recently, Kate worked for a North West managing agent specialising in large and complex residential buildings. There, she managed key client relationships and played a pivotal role in façade and fire safety remediation projects funded through the Building Safety Fund and the Cladding Safety Scheme. She also supported the novation of remediation works back to developers, holding them accountable throughout the process.

Kate worked closely with project management teams and acted as the primary point of contact for leaseholders, ensuring clear communication and support throughout often challenging remediation programmes. She was also instrumental in implementing the Building Safety Act and coordinating the preparation of Building Safety Case reports, expertise that will be increasingly critical as regulatory requirements continue to evolve.

A strong advocate for higher professional standards and industry regulation, Kate is passionate about improving transparency and educating leaseholders on building safety and governance, including the responsibilities of the Principal Accountable Person. She also has a keen interest in mentoring and developing future talent. In her new role, Kate will lead internal training and mentoring initiatives across Livingcity Asset Management, helping to create clear, structured career pathways and strengthening the Group.

Commenting on her appointment, Kate said:
“I am delighted to be joining Livingcity Asset Management, a company I have long admired for its commitment to straightforward, honest property management. It is particularly exciting to join an independently owned managing agent, led by a Managing Director who shares my passion and vision for raising industry standards.”
