Lomond strengthens leadership team with new Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Operating Officer

Darrell joins Lomond with over three decades of experience across financial services, retail banking, mortgages and commercial leadership, having held several senior executive positions, including Chief Executive Officer of Benenden Health and Chief Commercial Officer at Co-operative Bank Plc, as well as tenures at RSB Bank, Direct Line Group and Virgin Money Plc.

As COO, Steve will join CEO Paul Geddes, Darrell and the wider C-suite in shaping Lomond’s continued growth, with responsibility for the group’s Operations and Technology functions.

Steve brings more than 30 years’ experience leading large-scale operational, technology and transformation teams, with a strong record of driving growth, innovation and customer outcomes across major consumer businesses. This includes 11 years at Direct Line, where he served as COO for six years and worked alongside Paul; Steve also was previously Chair of the Motor Insurers’ Bureau for seven years.

Darrell and Steve’s appointments come at a time when Lomond is continuing to expand nationally. With its most recent acquisitions of lettings and estate agents Ocean in Bristol, FHP Living in Nottingham and City Residential in Liverpool, Lomond is delivering on its ambition to become the most recommended property group in the UK.

With the combined experience of Darrell and Steve, their expertise in commercial strategy, business development and growth, the executive team is well positioned to support Lomond’s continued focus on delivering value for its customers, partners and regional brands across the country.
