The UK Single-Family Association (UK SFA), the sector specialist non-profit membership organisation, announces its Official Launch Event on 22nd February 2024 and has now opened its call for members.
The launch ushers in a new era for the still nascent but economically and socially critical Single-Family Rental (SFR) sector in the UK. The UK SFA is the only membership organisation available for industry stakeholders to join that focuses solely on this rapidly growing sector, bringing together a broad church of stakeholders dedicated to driving its sustainable growth.
Professionally invested and managed houses intended for long-term rent are the most important contributor in terms of diversity and additional scale to the UK’s housing mix. The UK SFA aims to improve people’s lives and neighbourhoods by providing more houses for rent, and better housing options for people into the future.
The UK SFA will host its Official Launch at the LOFT Pop-up Showroom at White City Warehouse, a creative and inspiring space, on Thursday 22nd February. Richard Berridge, UK SFA CEO & Founder will provide a presentation on the UK SFA’s purpose and direction of travel, which will be followed by insightful keynotes from Savills and Homes England.
The UKSFA is now calling for members. Any organisation currently involved in the SFR industry, along with those exploring it, will be welcomed as a member. These could include investors, operators, manufacturers, architects and other consultants, construction companies, housebuilders, housing associations, local authorities, specialist contractors, suppliers, legal firms and other professional services.
Richard Berridge, CEO & Founder of the UK SFA, said:
“After months of planning, preparation and engagement, I’m elated to be able to announce the date for the UK SFA’s formal launch event. The UK SFA recognises the distinct benefits and challenges that investing in and operating Single-Family Rental brings, and although this has many synergies with multi-family rental housing, there are also key differences and nuances that are important to understand and unlock.
“With the sector poised to scale rapidly, there has never been a more pertinent time for those involved in SFR to join forces under one collaborative banner and accelerate positive change to the UK’s housing landscape”.
Prospective members can get in touch with the UK SFA and request more information on membership at membership@uksfa.org, or can become members live at the launch event on 22nd February.
