Property consultancy boosts planning team
One of London’s oldest independent property consultancies has bolstered its growing planning department with a new senior associate partner.
Brendan Hodges, previously of Nathaniel Lichfield & Partners, joins Daniel Watney LLP with more than 25 years’ experience in both the public and private sectors, including 10 years at Westminster City Council.
As a key part of the Daniel Watney planning team, Brendan will be responsible for overseeing planning applications and appeals; community and stakeholder engagement; representations on statutory plans and providing general development and planning advice.
In addition to in-depth knowledge of the central London market, Brendan’s specialisms include urban mixed-use development, built heritage, energy infrastructure and planning enforcement.
He has been involved in a number of recent high-profile transactions, including securing planning permission for a 200-bed hotel close to London City Airport on behalf of Crown International Estates, and planning consent for a 13,000 sq metre superstore on the site of Grade II listed hospital buildings.
