Organisers of the re-arranged Toolkit for Property Managers conference at the University of Oxford’s St Hugh’s College have announced a new date for event.
The conference, which was originally scheduled for March 2020, has a new date of April 9-11 with a full programme of over 40 different sessions available for attendees.
Cassandra Zanelli, partner at PM Legal Services who are organising the conference, said: “We’re really looking forward to welcoming people to St Hugh’s in April next year so we can all get together and meet people from across our industry.
“After postponing the event in March, we had looked to see if it was possible to host it in September but it became apparent that to facilitate everyone who wants to attend a date in 2021 would be more suitable.”
A limited number of places remain for the conference. It is also an opportunity for attendees to undertake an intensive programme of study to achieve their IRPM Associate (level 3) or Member (level 4) qualification, culminating in an exam at St Hugh’s.
Cassandra added that due to government guidance around the Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak, PM Legal and IRPM will continue to update delegates: “Guidance is constantly changing and there is no knowing what a ‘new normal’ will look like by April next year.
“However, I think we will all be used to working in a different way by then and we’re confident the conference will deliver the same mix of seminars and opportunities to study that it has before.”
Andrew Bulmer, CEO at IRPM, said: “Cancelling exams is something that the IRPM would never want to do, however these are extraordinary times and this measure is a necessary step in the country’s efforts to stop the spread of coronavirus.
“Our priority now is to ensure no property manager faces a barrier when it comes to moving onto the next stage of their career and we expect to announce new arrangements for IRPM exams very soon.
“Those options will include IRPM exams at the now deferred Oxford weekend next April. IRPM will be in touch with exam delegates to explain their options as soon as the arrangements are confirmed.”
