Reapit has partnered with two of the UK’s leading Making Tax Digital (MTD) providers, Hammock and Nexus by Landlord Studio. These MTD integrations give letting agents a simple way to prepare their landlords for the new digital tax requirements across both the Reapit and PayProp platforms.

For letting agencies with landlords earning above £50,000 from property or self‑employment, managing MTD compliance will quickly become time‑consuming. This workload could involve everything from exporting property‑by‑property income and expenses data, to fielding landlord emails and calls in the run‑up to the first filing deadline on 7 August 2026. Reapit’s MTD partnerships with Hammock and Nexus remove that burden.

Making MTD easy for agents

Reapit’s integrations with Nexus and Hammock mean agents can simply invite their landlords to use either provider, which will allow the landlords to complete their MTD reporting – with zero effort for the agent.

Landlord Studio, established in 2014 and trusted by thousands of landlords and accountants, has built Nexus as an exclusive product for letting agents to offer their landlords. Nexus brings agency client accounting data from Reapit or PayProp into a secure portal for landlords, with open banking options to import other income and expenses from bank accounts available soon. From Nexus, landlords can review, manage and add allowable expenses and submit their property income and expenses directly to HMRC.

Hammock is the first landlord software recognised by HMRC for MTD for Income Tax, used by thousands of UK landlords and accountants. It is the landlord platform recommended by leading accounting software Intuit QuickBooks and Sage. Hammock is recognised as an industry supplier by Propertymark. It already works with leading UK letting agencies and Hammock landlords use the services of thousands of small and medium size agents. It is authorised by the FCA and integrates with 50+ UK bank and credit card feeds, helping landlords receive property income from Reapit or PayProp and register other expenses that were paid for directly by the landlord.

Once a landlord accepts an invitation from the agent to use the agency’s preferred MTD provider, their property income and expenses are automatically pulled in directly from Reapit or PayProp – with no exporting, no onboarding, no troubleshooting and no extra admin for the agency.

Agencies wanting to activate the integrations in Reapit should choose their preferred provider and install it from the Reapit AppMarket, while PayProp-powered agencies can activate the Nexus integration from the settings menu.

Tax doesn’t have to be taxing with the right partnerships

Steve Richmond, Reapit’s general manager for the UK & Ireland, Middle East and Africa, said: “Reapit only partners with the best in the industry. We chose Hammock and Nexus because they deliver leading MTD solutions and handle every part of landlord onboarding and technical support. For agents, it’s as simple as sending an invitation and after that all taxable property income and expenses flow automatically from Reapit and PayProp into the MTD platforms.

“We’ve worked closely with both Hammock and Nexus to build these integrations in this way, as we know how busy letting agents are adapting to the Renters’ Rights Act. Making the process as hands-off and painless as possible was a real priority and both of our partners have truly delivered a seamless service for the industry.”

“Hammock has been recognised by HMRC as compatible for MTD since 2024. We are helping thousands of landlords and accountants transition smoothly to the MTD tax regime and manage their MTD obligations. Hammock is suitable for all ownership structures – including joint ownership and limited companies, as well as tenancies – including HMOs and furnished holiday lets. We are already working with leading letting agents in the UK and more agents are joining our network every week. We are very excited about this partnership with Reapit. This is a best-in-class use of technology to foster transparency and minimise manual workload for letting agents and their landlord clients,” said Manoj Varsani MBE, Founder & CEO, Hammock.

“Landlord Studio has been supporting landlords since 2014, powering property accounting for thousands of landlords. With Nexus, we’ve built something exclusively for agents, giving them a way to support their landlords without stepping into tax,” said Logan Ransley, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Landlord Studio.

“Reapit believes agents and their landlords deserve real choice,” added Richmond.

“Not everyone in our space takes that view, but it matters. By partnering with leading MTD providers, we're giving agents flexibility in how they support their clients, while keeping the process simple, compliant, and firmly in their control.”
