The leasehold property management sector is facing one of the most significant periods of change in its history — and we want to hear directly from the people working within it.

Brady Solicitors has launched a nationwide industry research project exploring the challenges, opportunities and priorities currently shaping leasehold property management.

They have had a great response to the survey so far, but we’d really appreciate even more contributions before the survey closes at the end of September.

By taking part, managing agents can help ensure that the experiences and views of the sector are properly represented — while also helping to build a valuable source of independent data about the current state of the industry.

What Is the Research Exploring?

Managing agents continue to navigate increasing regulatory expectations, growing resident scrutiny, recruitment and retention challenges, rising costs and ongoing uncertainty around leasehold reform.

The survey looks at a range of issues affecting organisations and professionals across the sector, including:

  • The impact of the cost-of-living crisis on service charge arrears.

  • Recruitment and staff retention challenges.

  • Salary expectations and workforce trends.

  • Attitudes towards professional qualifications and training.

  • The implications of leasehold reform proposals.

  • Operational and compliance pressures facing managing agents.

While these issues are widely discussed across the industry, there remains relatively little independent data capturing the reality of day-to-day leasehold property management.

This research aims to help change that.

Help Build a Picture of the Sector

The more responses we receive, the more meaningful and representative the findings will be.

Every managing agent has a different experience, shaped by the size and type of portfolio they manage, their location, their residents and the challenges facing their organisation.

By sharing your experience, you can help create a clearer picture of the pressures facing the sector today and provide useful insight for managing agents, suppliers, industry bodies and policymakers.

The findings will be compiled into an industry whitepaper, with everyone who completes the survey receiving access to the final report once the research has concluded.

There’s Still Time to Take Part

The survey will remain open until the end of September, so there is still time to have your say.

The survey is anonymous and takes less than 10 minutes to complete.

As a thank you for taking part, every completed response will be entered into a prize draw to win £250 worth of Amazon vouchers.

So, whether your organisation manages a handful of developments or a substantial national portfolio, we’d love to hear from you.
