The Land Collective has successfully concluded its third Black Girls in Property (BGIP) programme, a comprehensive five-day initiative designed to introduce young Black women to careers in the property sector. The programme, which ran from 4-8 August 2025, brought together over 20 participants, including alumni from the organisation's inaugural cohort, demonstrating the lasting impact and community-building success of the initiative.
The programme featured a diverse range of experiences across London's property landscape, including:
Exclusive site visits to 110 Bishopsgate and Curtain House developments
Behind-the-scenes tours at leading property firms including CBRE and RICS offices
Construction site visit at Magrock with health and safety briefings and company presentations
Property development simulation activities providing practical industry knowledge
The programme's success was made possible through strategic partnerships with leading industry organisations. Key sponsors Avison Young UK and Chancerygate provided essential support, while programme partners including CBRE, RICS, RED Construction, WT Partnership, Anomaly, and Magrock offered exclusive access to their facilities and expertise.
"The feedback has been excellent and I'm already looking forward to the improvements we can make for future cohorts," said Sarah Hayford, CEO of The Land Collective. "It's incredible to see how far our alumni have come in their journey into property and just how many volunteers we were able to mobilise to support these programmes."
Beyond the core programme, The Land Collective has secured ongoing work experience placements for programme members throughout August at prestigious firms including Fusion Group, Conductor, and AECOM, providing participants with real-world professional experience in the property sector.
The programme's return to Curtain House, featuring both new participants and alumni from the first cohort two years ago, highlighted the initiative's success in creating lasting professional networks and ongoing engagement opportunities.
With three successful cohorts now completed, The Land Collective continues to expand its impact, working with an ever-growing network of industry partners and volunteers committed to diversifying the property sector.
