Innovus, the market leading provider of services and solutions to the property sector, is pleased to announce the launch of its new Building Safety and Compliance offering. The division will deliver an expanded set of end-to-end solutions to enable building owners, property managers, and Principal Accountable Persons to confidently meet their obligations under the Building Safety Act 2022. The service will also cover associated secondary legislation and equivalent legislation in Wales.
This enhanced service, expands on our existing building safety programme and is being launched in response to rapidly increasing demand from building owners, housing providers and managing agents, as they grapple with the stringent requirements of the Building Safety Act as it relates to so-called ‘higher-risk buildings’ (blocks with at least two residential units that are either 18 metres or taller, or comprise seven or more storeys).
Innovus’ service is delivered by an expert in-house team, working closely with a trusted network of specialist partners to provide comprehensive support for all aspects of building safety.
Core services include:
Creation of the required Building Safety Case (‘BSC’) Report, a detailed, evidence-based record showing how fire and structural risks are being identified, managed and controlled; This includes on-site audits and document reviews to highlight gaps and provide structured actions.
Ongoing management of the Safety Case and Report to keep documentation current and compliant.
Procurement and management of competent third-party suppliers and contractors, ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory expectations.
Bespoke resident engagement strategy tailored to the needs of each building and community.
Expert support and guidance for building remediation, including funding permissions and project management, working with developers, and RMCs.
Fire doors remain a vital component of a building’s overall fire strategy and are addressed under the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022, enacted under the Fire Safety Act 2021 framework. The Building Safety Act 2022 complements this by reinforcing the regulatory oversight, especially for Higher Risk buildings, and strengthening enforcement infrastructure via the Building Safety Regulator As part of our commitment to holistic building and resident safety, we also offer a fire door inspection and fire asset check service as part of our complete Building Safety and Compliance offering.
Innovus’ expert knowledge of all building safety regulations, strong industry relationships and transparent, competitive pricing structures will support building owners in the effective management of higher-risk buildings to meet legal requirements and create safer, better managed spaces for all residents.
Richard Thwaites, Director of Building Safety & Compliance at Innovus, said:
