Winner
The award was given to Tracey McCabe and her customer service team at OM Property Management.
The judges stressed that they unanimously decided to give this award for a particular instance of customer service, namely the handling of the aftermath of the administration of the Peverel Group holding companies. The judges recognised that the company was faced with an extremely difficult situation, perhaps one of the most challenging facing the sector this past year, and that on other occasions leaseholders had complained when customer focus was lacking.
However, the judges decided that with this particular situation the management of customer relations and continuity of service compared favourably with similar circumstances which other companies had not handled so well. In particular, the judges noted that there are a number of vulnerable residents in this organisation, and the judges recognised the important role customer service had to play in order to allay their fears about service charge and reserve fund money and continued management operations.
