Property law firm JB Leitch has launched a new apprenticeship scheme in which it will develop five of its most promising staff. The selected employees will undertake nationally-recognised legal qualifications from the Chartered Institute for Legal Executives.

Christian Cameron, Bethyn Finley, Lilian Goodwin and Sophie Howes are all currently Litigation Assistants while John Manley is acting team leader for the service charge recovery team.

Three of them will be undertaking the Advanced Apprenticeship in Legal Services, which covers areas such as civil litigation, property, family law, employment practice and private client practice. Two will be studying for the Higher Apprenticeship in Legal Services, which includes debt recovery and insolvency, commercial litigation and personal injury litigation.

This signals the launch of a wider apprentice scheme for JB Leitch, which will see more staff offered the opportunity to develop as well as a recruitment drive to attract talent from outside the company.

Andy Hull, Operations Director at JB Leitch said: “Weʼre keen to develop our staff so that they can reach their potential within the company.

“We have many talented people working here and it benefits us all if they can progress their career in the field of law. This is just the start of a journey for us, weʼre looking forward to many more apprentices in the future.”
