LEASE Annual Conference, 200 delegates attending the recent Annual Conference of the Leasehold Advisory service were treated to a packed day of keynote speeches and discussion sessions centred around managing, valuing and selling leasehold property.
Leading lawyers, Anthony Radevsky, Philip Rainey QC and Professor Driscoll updated delegates with sessions on enfranchisement, leasehold management case law and prospects for new legislative change in this highly complex area of law. Industry experts also presented on regulating managing agents, difficulties in the sales process for leasehold property, and consultation requirements for major works. A Government spokesperson also explained how the Green Deal can help owners and managers of leasehold property make environmentally efficient improvements to their property.
Bob Smytherman, Chairman of the Federation of Private Residents’ Associations led a discussion on what leaseholders want from the professional who provide them with services.
