For the first time ever, the most influential people in the residential leasehold property sector are identified. The list contains a mix of leasehold campaigners, Parliamentarians, trade and professional bodies, managing agents, building owners, investors, developers, valuers, and lawyers amongst others.
Property litigator Clare Brady is no stranger to ambition. She has quickly grown Brady Solicitors to become one of the premier property management law firms, with a relentless focus on innovation, efficiency and client service that has secured for Bradys an impressive roster of clients since the firm’s launch in 2008.
Kelly is responsible for the Operations Department for the prestigious Capital Division. Concentrating on the design of buildings, the legal structure and appointment of Managing Agents, Kelly’s core role is to ensure developments are designed, managed and financially operated to the highest of standards.
Julian heads up Cluttons’ residential consultancy and has for almost 30 years managed London Estates. His roles have included leasehold enfranchisement, valuations, lease restructuring, management, expert witness, insurances, statutory tenancies and refurbishments - right across London but especially in St John’s Wood, Kensington, Dulwich and Kennington for Family Trusts, Charities, property companies and private individuals.
James Butler is the owner director of Landmark Residential which specialises in bringing Leaseholder Party Action, Major Works Litigation cases against Landlords / Freeholders. James uniquely straddles both the Surveying and Legal disciplines, a combination which provides for a perceptive, thorough and in depth understanding of this specialised field.
Mark Chick is head of the Leasehold Reform team at Bishop & Sewell, a leading firm of central London lawyers. He is a director of ALEP and has appeared on BBC Breakfast as property expert. He also writes and lectures regularly on landlord and tenant matters.
Principal and one of four owners at Mainstay Group, David has spent over 25 years immersed in the leasehold sector. He is a former chairman of ARMA and current governor of the IRPM, being closely involved with the formation of both organisations. He is passionate about raising standards in the sector and a regular speaker and blogger.
Franco is a Chartered Surveyor with over 20 years’ experience in estate management, having spent nine years with the Cadogan Estate. He serves on BPF working parties and his duties include the asset management of Dorrington’s assured shorthold portfolio.
Paul’s involvement in residential property manage-ment began as an urban regeneration specialist in local government in the 1980s. Following a further 20 years in the building services sector, Paul returned to residential property management with his appointment as MD at Mainstay Group in 2010. His passion is service excellence.
Andrew joined Grainger in 1996 serving as Finance Director, Deputy CEO and, since 2009, CEO. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He sits on the policy committee of the British Property Federation and is a member of the Cambridge University Land Economy Advisory Board.
A member of the RICS and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing, Richard joined R&R in 2006 to head a specialist team providing developers with long-term consultancy and management services. He has been instrumental in delivering the management of a range of substantial developments through to full management.
